 We are a small, family run kennel located on the beautiful shores of Sebasticook Lake in Newport, Maine. We have been avid hunters, lovers of the outdoors, and dog owner/breeders for 25 years. It only seemed natural to combine these three loves into the production of a German Shorthair line. Our dogs are products of champions- they are guaranteed personal companions, as well as finished gun dogs, they have calm dispositions in the home, but when in the field really know how to turn it on! Megun is a hard driving bird finder with medium range. She is at home chasing chukar in Utah's high desert, trailing pheasant in North Dakota, or pinning grouse in the thickets of New England. Megun has the stylish points and smooth gait of her sire, Tango, and she's inherited the strong retrieving drive and biddable nature of her dam, Lacy. Her love of water showed at an early age, when she boldly entered a pond and struck out swimming for the opposite shore on her first visit at seven weeks of age. Meg soon learned to sit quietly in a blind along the shores of the Great Salt Lake, where she gained experience during long hunting seasons and an abundance of waterfowl, retrieving species ranging from teal to Tundra swan. Her intensity in the field is exhilarating, but Megun is also an easy going family dog with a happy-go-lucky attitude that makes her a joy to live with.
